At 16 I built a magic wand: eight LEDs, a PIC microcontroller and assembly code I wrote by hand.
Wave it through the air and a shape appears in the dark, like this
It won an award.

I've been solving real problems ever since.
When it was time to pick a career, I did the market research and chose the craft the market was paying for: PHP and WordPress.
I started in 2020 as a freelancer, then added part-time roles at ProITs and Plansters, building and maintaining sites for clients across the Gulf and Europe.

Then came Majarra (formerly Haykal Media), one of the best-known publishers in the Arab world.
For three years I was a Senior WordPress PHP Developer there and led the refactor of their flagship magazine sites, including HBR Arabic, Nafseyati and MIT Technology Review Arabia.
They still credit the rebuild to me.

Along the way I started Meissa for Space, a free Arabic blog about space, inspired by the JWST launch.
I funded it myself with zero revenue, and it found real readers.
It closed in 2025 for financial reasons.
The itch is still there.

I trained a group of young people from my city in web design and development, hands-on, so they could start working right away.
It worked: most of them found jobs shortly after the course ended.

A set of open-source WordPress plugins and themes, all on my GitHub.
Plenty of fast, high-converting landing pages, with advanced analytics and a carefully planned visitor journey.
A custom-built pet shop in Damascus that loads in a blink, even on 3G.
Food, litter, toys, accessories, everything your pet needs, at your door within the hour.
A marketing and digital solutions agency in Damascus.
Since January 2026.
Heavy, old sites? No problem. Every kilobyte counts, server side and client side, from the database to the last pixel.
Advanced SEO with GEO and AEO, for our own sites and our clients', so Google and AI engines understand them.
Servers, domains and WordPress security. I watch every request, every update and every new CVE. Zero downtime so far.
I automate the repetitive work with Claude, n8n, code, or all three, depending on the task. It saves the team hours, so we can focus on the real work and real problems.
Tech moves fast and loud.
I love building for the web, and I'm a lot less in love with the hype around it.
So when I can, I log off and go outside.
Camping and hiking are how I reset, and it's where most of my good ideas show up.
